On April 22, a new wireless network, UAGuest, will be available for campus visitors and require authentication with a user name and password. University Information Technology Services is implementing UAGuest to significantly improve the university's wireless network security.
Campus visitors can select UAGuest from the wireless options on their device, and establish an account valid for five days by entering a username and cell phone number. After five days, guests will need to establish a new account.
UAGuest and UAPublic wireless networks will remain available in parallel April 22-May 22. Effective May 22, UAGuest will replace UAPublic for campus visitors.
Faculty, staff and students should continue to use UAWiFi for fast, secure wireless access on campus.
Documentation for using UAGuest will be available on the UITS website prior to April 22.
